There have been a couple of exceptions, but I see a game that went into EA in April 2024 and I know it will be full of bugs. I see reviews with people complaining about the bugs, well duh it is EA.
Stop treating every indie game like AAA product, please. Thanks.
It's funny to see you compare this to PDX games, a AAA company who deliver barebone product to be able to sell DLCs on it.
i don't compare the size of the companies / dev teams and i believe that this small team here will not follow the PDX path with selling expansion by exapnsion over the years, but where i see similarities is that we consumers will need a lot of patience with this game until its full potential is realized.
The dev was honest with his comment before buying this game and he said it because he exactly knows the current development status of the game. (that earns respect, many are not honest at all!) When a developer launches a product on the market, then the dev has to expect the full range of (constructive) criticism. Understandable because the development stage is EARLY ACCESS - for me not a reason to buy yet. This game has still a long way until being finished...especially with this size of the team it will take time. And when it is finished one day, it will certainly be a fun game like Crusader Kings II, for example.
I'm a realist and I'm just saying this (slightly annoyed for sure) because this is a game development trend that I absolutely can't get behind anymore. But with all respect to this dev here, that he was honest to us players before! I will still be happy to follow the development.
