I'd try to get the silver to buy a new one by any means you can, if there happens to be a bandit camp you can clear that's quick cash, otherwise I assume you have a trading post by the time you're settling a second (or more) region, so what can you sell that you wouldn't normally for some quick cash? Some brief shortage of something simple that can be traded without needing a trade route to salvage a new settlement would be worth it IMO.
Hi,
Cheers for the advice, I'll wait for a bandit camp and try that way. I forgot to build a trading in that region before the raiders came so cant make money via trade I'm afraid.
Which is a little dumb because part of the reason for having personal wealth as a lord is being able to use it wherever you feel will get the best returns for you, so if that meant paying for a new Ox out of our own pocket we should be able to do that, but that may well be something just not implemented yet \o/
No problem. thanks for the advice again.
Rest of the regions are under off-map opponent control.
2 months into the new region a random group of raider appeared out of nowhere and sacked the new region. Killed the ox. Can't figure out a way to get a new one over there. Hope this is fixed ASAP.
This is exactly what happened to me. I just ended up starting a new map. Maybe your region might get "taken over" by the AI opponent; then you can take it back and resettle it but I havn't played enough to know if that's the case.
Maybe for the time being when starting new settlements we could just build about 10 hitching posts that way at least one ox will survive :D
