We'll have to wait and hope walls and fences are added as a build option for the actual village/town.
Hopefully this is the case. Great game, and most likely not a deal breaker for anyone, especially since everyone is still enjoying the base game without having access to any real defenses. But sure would be a nice feature. Goes to show just how loved ML's really is :) Thanks.
As I undeerstand, you are meant to be able to build fences around the whole village, but its currently bugged, so causes every building inside it to stop working.
I see, that makes sense.
To encapsulate the village within Manor fences and later upgrade it to stone walls with various fortifications maybe.
No your not and no its not bugged, because that is not what the tool is meant for. That is a castle designer, castle walls, not town walls. Dev has said that he will be adding town walls later
Good to know. There are literally thousands of posts and no way of really knowing all of what the developer has planned or said in the past, even when trying to search for possible answers.
But I did manage to finally do a play through without running into any bugs, which played like a full version. Was also able to just build the Manor walls to defend in one direction without encircling the village and disabling the buildings. Although partial, was better than nothing.
Honestly, why would an oversized picket fence only protect a manor? Truth be told, it looks to be at eye level with the villagers. Not very convincing. In the end, ML is still a game, but is moreso receiving positive vibes because of the attention to detail, passion given and something supposedly done by one person. That alone deserves everyone's support and praise. But as mentioned, in the end, it's a game, and these things should or need to be fixed. . . . . .hopefully.
