Heavy Plow bugged / not effective?
The way the farmer uses the plow is either bugged or extremely ineffecient, it seems to be faster on the surface, but taking everyone off their jobs for one month to manually plow the field is easier than waiting for a single oxen and farmer to plow.

That and (Again maybe a bug) the way the oxen plows is, weird? Instead of picking one end and plowing up, plowing down until the field is done, they went half way, plow one line, walk all the way to almost the other side (and opposite direction, whilst not plowing) then plow a line, and swap sides.

Im guessing its not intended behavior because heavy plowing should save time and effort, but at present, the heavy plow takes months to prepare the soil, I still havent managed to get a field plowed by an oxen before I just whacked like 5 farmers in to quickly do it.

Anyone else having this experience with heavy plow? I have a saved game with the behavior that I can send in or clip / screen record if need be.

Yeah seems to be implemented pretty roughly so far. I always try to not make oxen available when it would be time for plowing because it takes forever.
In my game it looks like they go a straight line at the top from right to left, and a straight line at the bottom from left to right. Depending on the field layout this can take forever, and almost always it is slower than just doing it manually.

My assigned ox will follow around a farmer along with the others as they plow by hand lol. I have a bug atm where every new field I set to plow (change crop after fallow or harvest), an invisible ghost quickly plows the fields 1 at a time. No worker or ox, just a ghost plow does it all. Having multiple small plots is far more efficient than a few large farms. I have 20 plots active and with 5 families I can get 10 harvested and 10 plowed within September. They will never Sow until October and will stand around until then. I also manage to sow every field in this way. When harvesting, having multiple fields or a field cut into sections allows multiple people to do multiple things e.g one group harvests and moves on whilst another group plows the previous field.

Good to know there is a work around for now. Ill try making multiple smaller fields. (! morgan or smaller??)
