How to increase families fast?
In three month only 1 family moves in. I have three house vacant while the morale is 56.
What I am asking is the factors affecting the rate people moving in and the method of calculating.

Give them the demands they need. Can be a bit slow for them to move in.

Like I said I have 56 morale which means I filled in ALL their demand in the first tier home

Get more food variety (berries, meat, veggies, eggs, etc), Leather, Yarn or Linnen for Clothing, and a Church.
This will increase approval and you will get 1 or 2 families a month.

They can be slow to move in as far as I've seen.

Upgrade to second tier then, you can upgrade even if the house is empty.

I have 94 morale, you can do more.

Evolving the church boost the morale and invites families faster.

doesn't upgrade means more demands resulting lower morale? I know how to get to 100 approval. What I ask is the factors affecting the rate people moving in.

Morale or approval percentages affect the likeliness of people moving in, yes.
And you're right, level two houses comes with more demands. It's a balance.
I don't think the church upgrade by itself has an effect to higher demand.

building a church, and assigning a family to work there is the biggest booster of approval rating.

supplying more types of goods at the market boosts approval too, the 4 easiest to get would be clothes, shoes, meat and berries. (you'll have to convert some of your berries to dye in order to make clothes.

between 50%-75% approval you get 1 family per month if there is a empty house.
between 75%-100% you get 2 families a month if there are empty houses.

If I saw that correctly leather does count as cloth too for tier 1 houses

also making sure have plenty of empty homes for them to move into as well helps alot

I think it does if I'm not mistaken.

Approval 50% and empty houses should be enough to get +1 families per month. So I don't know what might be wrong.

high happiness will result in more families rolling in. fulfill their demands and go beyond that. if you upgrade to a higher tier house and don't have the demands filled than it'll just lower the average happiness

As far as Im aware the one and only factor is approval and being below cap. 56 simply is not enough to get large amounts of people coming in at once. Usually very early on all you have to do is build a church and secure food and fuel.
