My town is abandoned

I claimed a new region and placed a settlement camp and completely forgot about it. I came back to it with all the villagers either frozen to death or leaving the village. My approval is too low to attract new people,however, it's now abandoned. How can I revive the region?

I forgot to bury the bodies and everybody left new region. No way how to send new settlers there and AI opponent does not want to claim it :( I guess that is only way how to repopulate it again. If I could at least offer him the region for free in order to take it back by force immediatelly after that.

This needs a fix, had no idea ppl died on my 2nd town and now approval is below to move in empty houses.. just dying and nothing i can do....

no it doesn't work. Even if I no longer have any inhabitants, the game considers that there is already a city in the region.

oh man I did the exact saem thing. Had a few too many last night and forgot about a brand new village I set up. I left them homeless and I went back once I realized what i had done. There is one villager left. I quickly got a house set up for his family but I guess he had had enough and left. Now there is just a lonely ox sitting in the middle of hte road with a log tied to him year after year :(

I had a 2nd settlement and spent 40 of my first 50 dollars, then the raiders came by and was able to fend them off, but at some point my only bull was killed. As I had no bull logs could not be moved and only had 10 dollars and could not buy a new bull so settlement died.

I am not sure how to get it back.

Rally your villagers from your first village and attack a bandit camp closer to your new village. Kill their camp and choose to sent the spoils of war to the nearest settlement.
You'll get a few 100 gold.

you are an unfit parent and your first kid should be taken away too......RE ROLL
at least its just a game and you can start over and do it better next time ;)

You need to assign someone to the church so that the bodies get buried. Then, with some time, the village might fill again, if it hasn't gone down to zero. It'll probably take some micro-management, though. The families do get filled up again when someone dies.
