But I took a look and for me if I put it in windowed mode, the "resolution" setting remains locked. I had to exit the game fully/reload after setting to Windowed option, and resolution setting being locked would go away and I could make resolution small (like 720), so it would window, and I could move it over and make it borderless/it would play.
However if your monitors are different resolutions, whatever on the game is opened on stays as max resolution available. So if you were to move it from 1440 to a 4k, it would stay 1440 when you moved it. Dunno if there's a way around that.
Just my experience.
There's a clue here with what you've said. If it's happening in other games as well, then it could be operating system related. Or maybe drivers.
1. exit the game if you are in it
2. unplug your second monitor
3. start Manor Lords and wait until you see the main menu
4. quit Manor Lords via the main menu
5. wait for Steam to finish its cloud save business
6. plug in your second monitor
7. start Manor Lords
8. rejoice
TLDR: Start and quit the game cleanly without the second monitor connected.
I also have 3 monitors, and run the game on all 3.
Matched ASUS monitors and running in 'span displays with-surround" through Nvidia.
- Resolution 5760 x 1080 (On a RTX3060 12Gb)
- With this setting I can assign a centre monitor of the 3. set #1/#2/#3 for what will be the normal centre monitor for all things.
Now if you start to drag different windows to side monitors, say have 3 or 4 windows open, then it will remember that position for say the #2 window and always move it there when opening a #2 window. Until you close all windows, but some programs will still open in left or right monitors. (can be changed by dragging program window back to centre.)
- This I like for certain programs, say the virus scanner program.
Do you want to run the game on only one monitor?
- The centre monitor and not any side ones? Or all the monitors?
The game will look for a monitor that match's the settings resolution size, if you set the game resolution to match the main centre monitor it should find that monitor for gameplay.
unless all the monitors are the same resolution.
