Disapearing settlers Camps Bug
At the beginning of the the last 3 games ive tried to play for some reason the settlers camp keeps disappearing, i think its a bug due to me building a bunch of burgage plots at which point the town upgrades and the Settlers camp vanishes so I cant get any new settlers to come in. Im not at the point where any settlers can come in due to my approval rating anyway but with the settlers camp gone no point continuing the game. Its annoying but i guess ill have to try a different approach until this bug is fixed.

Your initial 5 families can no longer "live/reside" in the starting settler camp (you can't upgrade it to make it do that, anymore). So when you build your first 5 houses, those 5 families will move into them, and the "camp" disappears. That isn't a bug.

If that isn't what you're referring to, never mind/apologies. :D

Settlers don't move into the settlers camp anyway, so you haven't lost anything if it disappears as long as the settlers don;t disappear with it. Haven't they just moved into the Burgage plots?

It takes a while for your approval rating to rise above 50% but then settlers should start arriving.

If you are playing on Relaxing, you get enough starting supplies to build housing for five right at the start. If you are building close to the camp and build 5 burgages, you can have them done in March, so you go into April with 50 percent approval and a development point. Add a spot for a 6th family, and you can be getting new settler's in April, or May at the latest.

Greetings,

New family members from the original settlers will arrive first.

- Then if you have empty housing and supplies are being met, then as your approval increases new families will arrive.
- There MUST be a house for them to move to first.

But that isn't what we are told is happening. According to the OP he built five burgage plots and all his settlers disappeared.

No, he specifically stated that his settlers' CAMP disappeared, and that he therefore feared he couldn't get any additional settlers.

Which shows that OP has completely misunderstood what the settlers' camp purpose in the game is, and isn't at all familiar with basic game mechanics.

The settlers' camp disappearing after 5 burgages have been built is SUPPOSED to happen. It is not a bug. Nor do we need the settlers' camp for more people to come to our settlement.

@OP:

Ah! Ok! that makes sense. I was confused by the statement that he couldn't get any more settlers because they had all disappeared, I thought he had discovered some sort of weird bug.

No. His Homeless People's Tents disappeared, as they are supposed to.

Precisely. There isn't one. OP needs to chill and learn how the game works.

As do 90% of so-called "bug" reporters who post their bug reports in the gameplay discussions forum.
