Can't reach Tier 3 housing.
Got half my region covered in farms, everyone is hungry all the time, bread is being made at a good pace but not quick enough, farm yield is good but can't seem to get anything other than bread easily for 100 people.
Any suggestions?

Put backyard farms on all your resident buildings.
Don't miss hunting. Mix and match to satisfy food variety.

Tried that.
the hunting camps dont tend to do much unless there is a animal richness.
tried berry farms but that's only good for like 20 families.
Trading is practically meh as everything is expensive to import while exporting goods decreases in profit quickly.

Might need to diversify your food range, I have found that the trickles of honey/eggs/veg/meat when combined with berries and bread are more than enough.

Careful not to expand too quickly housing wise, if you have a lot of mouths to feed before you are well settled with a surplus you can get into trouble.

but maybe having 80% buildings not have access to backyard upgrades might be part of the issue.

Go for trade tech.. reduces prices by 10 each.

yhea food seems quite imbalanced. got veggies or eggs at all houses but its not enough. 95% of all food is just berries. hunting also seems a bit low. and from what i can see there is no option to slaughter livestock?

speaking of livestock, why do i only get yarn from sheep? why cant i make wool cloth? my area have absolutetly terrible fertility for flax so i cant make linen.

What size plots? The size of the plot determines the yield. Do not try to rely on Chicken coops either as it's a waste of time and resources. You need about 3-4x the size of the house going back in plot for a reasonably productive garden which definitely makes them fairly big.

The other aspect is that bread should be your staple and trying to hunt for meat or collect berries should be a low priority if at all (having done the achievement on Challenging for no foraging). One thing to note, take a quick look at your dispersion of fertility and resource richness. While the map is the same more or less, the fertility changes drastically and you shouldn't start a serious playthrough on the higher difficulties unless your starting region has almost perfect fertility in large areas for growing wheat.

The biggest issue for reaching Tier 3 is that the buildings closest to the market stalls (not inherently the market itself) are the ones that show up first. Once you finally get a few going, it spreads by proximity from these houses so it takes a while.

Stockpile malt and flour. Disable your oven and brewery for a few years until you get a massive stockpile. Disable hunting and berry picking for a year. Then, right when your veggie harvest comes in, unlock the oven, brewery, hunting lodge, and forager tent. You will flood the market to get the tavern requirement and enough food variety to unlock tier 3. Be sure to pause when you're eligible to upgrade. If food runs out so does your eligibility. Also, do this with approximately 25 residencies.

Honestly this sounds about right from what I've seen in the game, you have to manually manipulate alot of stuff to get the results you want generally

I have all the stuff for 3 but it won't let me upgrade.
Food and fuel is fine.
Population is 190 approval hangs around 80 .
Have plots and markets with upgrades to cobbler and tailor and blacksmith ect.
But still can't get 3
