Workers not collecting clay

Well, I have got a mining pit with rich deposit, 3 families seem to be working. But my clay is always 0. Is there a way to go around this or should I restart my little hamlet?

Glad I am not alone. Don't put a clay furnace on top of a clay resource! It needs to be a mine :)

Try positioning a warehouse closer to the resource maybe? That might help.

Same. I have the mine, the clay furnace, but nothing happens after I assign workers. I need clay tiles to upgrade to level 3 buildings and houses.

For anyone else:
1. Demolishing & rebuilding and repositioning clay furnace and mine has not worked.
2.l To the other person's point: I have a storehouse and a level 2 storehouse very close to the clay deposit, so that doesn't fix things.
3. I've assigned to both the storehouse and the mines and clay furnace, but nothing.
4. Also noticing issues with iron mines acting the same.

Most probably you all know this already, but it still might help someone: you have to place the clay mine directly ON the deposit. My clay mines all work.

Did you build your mine on/over clay deposit? If you build it next to it, people are mining, but no clay is collected

It worked for me! Remove the mine first and then the roads near. Now build it back up again and it will work.

i have one time , is there any other building on claypit ? i once share a land with other building and it doesnt work. i think it might be the coding thinking any building beside calypit will destroy any resource left on the ground

similiar to demolish a warehouse and rebuild on the same place will delete all resource

maybe destroy other building, and see if it works, if not, destroy clay pit
rebuild it and ithave to be positioned right in the middle of clay resource

There seems to be a snapping point right next to the clay deposit, be sure to build the mine on the snap point.

Can confirm that mining clay and producing tiles works, that said, it could be in your cause a pathing problem or some other random bug. Usually fixed by saving your game and reloading it.

As much as I hate to admit this could you like I did be trying to place the clay furnace down before setting up the mine? I placed a the furnace on top of and around the area 4 times before I came here. A little bit of investigating and figured out I neglected to set a clay pit up first. 🤦‍♂️ now that I have a pit and a furnace everything is running smoothly. Though someone might be missing it like I was hope this helps someone.

I have had the same issue. I believe the cause was a field covering part of the clay deposit.

worked for me. make sure its over the resources, word to the wise, if its a rich resource of iron or clay get the dep mines for forever mining or those resources that are rich, clay and iron, will be gone forever onces you deplete them without the deep mine
