Reclaim weaponry after a battle has taken place

As a new player, I absolutely love this game and the hardships it comes with.
One thing I've noticed, is that I lose alot of weaponry after a fight and I was thinking, since you bury the dead and the enemies get thrown in the corpse pit, do we get to reclaim the weapons that lay on the ground?

i was wondering this as well, but it doesn't seem to work that way. i tried to send militia to the site of the battle to retrieve weapons/clothes/etc but had no option to do so

This way we need to produce weapons.

totally agree, atleast the metal weapons, i could iunderstand the wood shield are of no use anymore, but the swords and spears should be recycleable,

The gruesome task of scavenging for loot, the retinue were typically the first to pick through the dead and wounded. They scavenged for weapons, clothing, and valuables. I hope this feature is added to the game in the future.
