House Upgrade

How do you upgrade houses to a higher level?I did upgrade them to produce eggs and hides,but i don't know what i need or how much for level 2.

Look in the center of the picture at the top....

You literally upgraded them to have chicken coops, but didn't see the icon right next to that?

I see that,but says requirements not met,but next to it says i need 4 wood,which i have more than enough,but for some reason i can't do anything,maybe it's a bug?

You need to raise the happiness of the people living there before it can get upgraded. Look at the requirements for the house, it'll say what things they need like food variety, clothes, fuel, a church, a tavern etc. What things they need and how much they need of them depends on the level.

so u have the wood but do u have enough stuff on the marked and other stuff?
i think u need 2 kinds of food and firewood on the marked (maybe also clothing, not sure maybe that comes later) and u need a lvl 1 church

i already have all of these.

What I don't understand is it seems they need clothes in order to upgrade, but you can't make clothes without an upgraded house...unless I am missing something?

Build a tanner to turn hides (from the hunter) into leather. Leather counts as basic clothes, even if you don't turn it into anything.

i already have all of these.

When hovering on the house under the upgrades there's requirements with diamonds next to them, they all have to be checked to upgrade the house.

i'm having this same problem. I have literally every need it says i need to have and i still cant upgrade.

Just notice something, if your click on the icon with a dot and a downside arrow on the top right, you will switch the ressource view to "surplus goods" and in my case, i don't have enough timber to upgrade

The problem for me was that i didn't have a leather maker. that counts as like proto-clothes or something?
