How does Manor Lords fare compared to Farthest Frontier?
I am asking because I played Farthest Frontier before and it seems to much more closer than other games I played: Banished with war

It doesn't compare to banished, FF is not that great but better than this, and ostriv trumps the lot including this one. I really wanted to like this, but its slow and un-engaging. Definitely WAY overpriced for what it currently offers.

The npcs don't run like they have a carrot up their behind, and unlike FF, you are playing a true simulator. FF is like being in the movie click, you blink and three seasons have already passed because the whole game is on super speed bullet hell mode

Farthest Frontier is way more polished at this point and has way more content, since it's been in early access for a long time while Manor Lords only just started early access today. FF has a lot of features that ML is currently missing like being able to build walls and fortifications, being able to breed different types of livestock and have them produce multiple resources, a system where pops actually get born and grow old, things like education and medicine, etc. Overall it's just a much more complete game. That said, Manor Lords does have some features that are better than what FF offers, like a more realistic (i.e. not grid-based) building system and much better combat.

In my opinion, if you want a game that's good to play right now, Farthest Frontier is simply better. But I think Manor Lords has the potential to become better than FF over time, as it gets more polished and the missing content gets added. We'll just have to wait and see whether that potential gets fully realized.

So it is the game with potential but still need more time.
I will wait and play ML later then.

Waaaaaaaaay too early in early access to be able to really judge. Such comparisons are useless really. This one needs a lot more time to cook.

As someone else said, FF is more polished at this point as it's been in EA for a long time. But i think ML has more potential and with the mega levels of newfound wealth the developer has now, i think the next year or two of ML development will most likely surpass FF.

Manor Lord is Unreal
Farthest Frontier is Farthest Frontier

Farthest Frontier is my favourite, as far as gameplay goes. But it has terrible optimisation, which hopefully gets fixed soon. They are woking on it now.
Manor Lords runs really well for me, but everything else has a long way to go.

Farthest Frontier is totally my favorite. I started playing both in 2022 - Farthest Frontier and Manor Lords Demo, just FF I liked better (sure, more polished, more advanced, they are a dev studio located in Massachusetts, US with definitely more money power). FF was early access (about same price as ML) but they updated and upgraded things pretty fast and had a lot, lot more.
I love that I can control the citizens in FF, the lush vegetation is amazingly good, the buildings are more distinctive and well.. more beautiful and logistics are not hard to learn.

I very much like Manor Lords, I only wish he creates a small dev studio and deliver things fast.
