No groundwater display

I just bought the game and wanted to get started. Unfortunately I don't have the groundwater display to build a well. The other indicators are there, only the groundwater is missing. The explanations stated that I should place the well on the groundwater resource on my land. Since it isn't shown to me, where should I build the well?

I had that happen as well I tried it though game pass. i thought maybe because i picked relaxing difficulty that it just makes the well work anywhere but i have no idea if that was the case. I didn't play it long enough to figure it out though had some other stuff to do.

I'm playing on PC and I'm still looking for the error^^. I also chose a different difficulty level, but the groundwater display is also missing, so it can't be due to the difficulty level.

Its part of the starting settings. You can choose if you can place the well anywhere or if you need underwater map.
