Sawmill won't work

I can't get any planks. I've built a sawmill, I've assigned a family. It just says they are waiting and they never go to work. I have to oxen and an unassigned family to move/build/guide. What am I doing wrong?

Yeah, same for me. It looks like some professions stop working? Looked around but found nothing substantial. Did reassign, rebuild, reload, nothing that I tried worked ..
Might come from unassigning people from a job that might cause the job to bug? IDK

enough space in your storage ? if it's full they won't produce anything.

i have a lot of bugs... main camp dissapear.... some of work houses i build dont count to add families... iknow is early access but i cant play.. i reset 100 times a match, i will wait for new updates game have potencial but actually is impossible to play

I assigned an ox to the sawmill and this seems to work. Not sure if this fixes an issue or if this is intended tho.

The question is, workers don't move the wood. They can only start working after someone else has moved it.

Yes you need to assing ox for it to work

I'm having the same issue. I built 3 and have 6 families working them, can't get any planks.

I had this problem too, I believe the problem is that it wants an ox to deliver wood but the ox is busy somewhere else. You can force it to take exclusive use of an ox and that started production for me.
If it's early game and you only have one oxen then this will halt construction until you get another one or you free the ox from the sawmill.

it has 2 types of storages the normal one where they put the plank after they cut the log and log storage where you need an ox to bring it there,

When you click on the building you can see diffrent tabs when you click on advanced you can see that you need to assing permanent livestocks if you dont assing it it wont bring the log there, after you have good amount of plank or you need it for something else you can then unassing it

You don't have to necessarily assign an ox to your sawmill, but it is important to have enough oxen in your village. They are the bottleneck for building and other transport of goods. I spent all my money on veggies, eggs and oxen, and I don't have any shortages.

I just demolished it and rebuilt. It won’t work at all. I can’t progress through gameplay with no planks.

unassign the families from the stable and the oxen went back to work

Had this too, setting a construction reserve on the sawpit fixed it for me - hope this helps!
