My stables are full but if I try to build more hitching post, I can't = no one is building.
More of that, people working on my current hitching at this point, they are all 'waiting' or doing nothing. Tried to reassigned families from a post to another, free oxes from farm, twice succeded to take my builders back in busissness, but sooner than later, all become unstable and completely stuck again on building terms.
There is no much info out there.
If you assign an ox or other livestock to a building in the game, it's stuck there, meaning it can't be used for construction elsewhere. This becomes a problem when you need that animal to build anything else, as construction can't happen without an ox.
You start with one ox, so if you assign it to a building (like a Sawpit), it becomes "permanently" tied to that location. This blocks all other construction because the AI can't move materials without it.
Building a hitching post to get another ox won't work if your only ox is assigned elsewhere—you can't build anything if it's already in use. To fix this, you need to demolish the building where the ox is tied. Once you do, construction resumes as normal.
If you need more livestock, you can upgrade the hitching post to a stable and order more oxen or horses. Just make sure you have enough free livestock to keep building and eventually start farming.
Hope this helps. @Greg (Developer), if you see this, could we get a way to unassign an ox without demolishing a building? It shouldn't be "permanent." Thanks!
You can unassign them already.

If you do not have enough oxen for all the jobs you set in motion or they're needed for you'll get that message.
