Raiders never leaving

I'm not sure if this is by design or a bug, but it seems that right now, the game can soft lock when the village is overrun by raiders and no NPC lord steps in to defeat them. There's no way to rebuild the military, so the raiders just idle around the village and run in circles while bandits *still* somehoe plunder the stocks and the village population doesn't really decrease (but rebuilding houses is impossible due to the raiders, so everyone is homeless).

I think in this situation, a game over screen or the raiders eventually retreating to allow the player to at least try and rebuild would be great.

Had the exact same issue, saved/reloaded and my population came back somehow - hope this'll help.

I sure hope this isn't "by design". I intentionally set the game to pretty laid back settings, not looking for a "kill me now" game. 36 raiders piled into the city, decimated my forces and have now been running around in circles for the last 20 minutes.

Seriously if it's intended that it destroys all of your work forever, then just pop up a game over and be done with it.

same here, can't do anything anymore, they keep running around setting everything on fire that gets rebuild.
Forming new militia also seems to not be possible. i guess for now starting a new game without raids at all until some following patches.

I keep trying to rebuild my stuff and they just burn it all over again :(

Guys I have the solution for you, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-aTkD3bARLc , watch this and download the mod engine then add 110 treasury coins or what it is to hire mercenaries via the button on the right of your militia panel, hire as many as u want and they will spawn on random locations on the world but press on them on the panel then RIGHT CLICK on your land where u want to direct them and they will come and slaughter these peasant raiders ! For me the bandits defeated the mercenaries the first time I tried so repeat a few times and try to RIGHT CLICK the raiders directly with the mercenaries rather than anywhere on ur land
