Gamepad support?

Seems there is no gamepad support as my Xbox One controller for PC doesn’t work.
I know that many prefer mouse and keyboard for this type of games but I prefer gamepad. Will this be supported and when?

Would like to know also, game looks quite good, but a pass if no controller support, 61 year old with slight disability, hence needs to play games with controller.. :(

Strange because it’s out on consoles which obviously have controller so why not pc

there is a reason why the gods made mouse and keyboards :D i hate controllers in such games, they often lead to ♥♥♥♥♥ UI for everyone

Yea i have a muscle disorder, and while id prefer using m&k and used to only use it on pc, controller support is helpful. Even steams m&k emulation with controller is helpful, but only recommended for simpler games.

i ranted so often about controller support for games where i saw no use to it as it often leads to simplified UI . but considering increased accesability its worth the tradeoff.

There are millions of people like me who would like to use MKB but cannot. Some disabled, some with chronic pain issues.

Back when I only had a 50 inch tv and a chair, no desk or monitor. I found this program called xpadder. It allowed me to play total war with my xbox controller. Pretty sure it can use like any controller. Had to map all the buttons and sticks myself. This was 8 years ago so there may be other things.. but yea, hope y'all are able to figure it out.

Steam itself has the feature, but there is nothing wrong with wanting official support so you can see button prompts and not have to use your analog as a mouse too extensively. Thanks though.

I hope there will be controller support when the xbox version will launch or before !
I want to play it on rog ally, the game run fine in high settings (I tried it docked with keyboard and mouse)
the last settlers or jurassic park evo have nice controls with gamepad !

My Xbox controller worked today by scrolling around the map. My Son turned it on and caught me off guard lol

+1 would also like controller support, disabled gamer as well. Or hopefully someone makes a community layout using steam input that works for 90% of the gameplay. This is the only gripe keeping me from buying the game :/
