underground water view not working?

Same here, underground water not showing

Underground water is switched off in settings when you start a map. You can turn it on there. But do you want to :)

One of the map creation settings is "Well placement" if you use the "Relaxed" preset when starting a game it sets this to "Unconstrained" meaning you can place your well anywhere, disabling the underground water mechanic
