Sawpit not working?
Anyone else having an issue where the sawpit just isn't producing anything?

Me too. Burghers just waiting in their homes doing nothing even though timbers are plenty

I've been having that issue as well, but that's because my lumber camp got bugged and nothing got taken out of its generic storage, it was at 30/28, so the sawpits couldn't get any timber.
Deleting my lumber camp and placing a new one fixed it for me.

I figured it out you need an ox to bring a log to the sawpit. You should assign a family to the hitching post it so that the people that need ox don't scramble for one. Better yet build a new hitching post and buy a new ox

Have a weird issue when it does not work if only 1 family is assigned. It needs to have 2 before it starts working

same but for the log camp. I have like 20 people standing outside all day and night complaining they are cold even though i have more then enough homes. on the workers status it just says waiting.

Make sure your storehouses aren't full. I had a similar problem with the sawpit because my logistics flows were stuck. Also, level up your hitching post and order another oxen.

I tried to have 2 families at the hitching post and 1 family at the sawpit but it still isnt working

Found the solutution to this! I build like 3 sawpits, no luck.. then I had one with livestock permanatly fixed, and boom! full production. Seem sawpits have the lowest priority the get logs transported, so need their own ox\horse. Cheers!

Check your t2 houses are not mass producing things like shields and bows. If they are just pause them. You should find your stock of planks go back up.

This, the biggest problem is the ox-log priority. And another, you workers always go home, after the only log is worked. Than an free ox need to get the order for log delivering. And when its delivered, than your workers get the order go back to work... and repeat. So a fix ox for your saw pit is realy needed. Otherwise a simple build order breaks your saw pit.

btw.: horses are only for the trading post (without trading routes) to bring your goods faster to the map edges (the blue marks). The mule is only for the trading between your own regions.

didnt know horses was only tradepost, thx, thats a lot wasted money! They need to fix sawpits, for sure, but on e sawpit with livestock permanatly does a lot!

It's mostly because it's the most Ox-intensive building in the game, comparable to the logging camp. You really need to assign an Ox to the saw building to see it do any work. Also place it near the logging camp.

Make sure to connect them to the road network.

You need to assign your only ox to the sawpit.

have enough oxes and the building works non stop for me . 1 family only in it and i'm swimming in planks even selling planks atm xD.

make sure the logging camp and sawpit has a rout connected to each other , afterwards make sure you have 1 ox who can alway's bring logs to the pit
