Underground water overlay does not show.

someone point out if you play on easier difficulty you can build it anywhere that why it doesnt show. i built mine in middle of my city and people used it . only if u go higher diff then spots will show

I discovered the same, that the water overlay didn't work. In videos from content creators on YT the water overlay worked even in easy difficulty settings.

i think you have set WELL PLACEMENT option at UNCONSTRAINED on the pre game menu instead of UNDERGROUND WATER
because of this game logic, if you set at unconstranied then the game doesnt think it necessary to show you any good water placement because, well, you could put it anywhere (pun intended)
try to begin a new game and see if that works without bug

I had the same question, but you are right, setting it to Underground water makes overlay active.

yes this is the reason. If it is unconstrained then it doesnt show up as it does not matter where you place the well. I figured that out aswell, Thankyou for confirming.
