Requests are a compliment
Requests are a compliment.

I want to say this because there are people on this forum who think that asking the author to add something to the game is criticism. On the contrary! If we are asking so many things of him it is because we have already seen what he is capable of doing and we think that he will be able to do much more.

Be flattered, Slavic. Expectations, in this case, are a consequence of your talent and your hard work.

There is already many things likely going to be updated after EA. Just because we're requesting things doesn't mean they aren't likely planned.

Even if its planned, there are people who arent informed. People ought to inform rather than rage and get defensive.

OP is calling on people not to be offended or get all defensive when a suggestion comes.
Even if whats requested is likely planned, thats all the more reason for a forum to fulfill its purpose. To inform. To discuss.

All anyone has to do is chime in! There are alot of non fans of this game with requests who dont follow the news on discord, on twitter, on reddit. And not just news, but things the dev has said himself in an "unofficial" capacity in these places about things he has debated on adding and not adding. Day/Night cycles for example.

When asking for something, people who ARE fans ought to chime in with quotes from the dev, with quips from the various news sites about the requested feature already in the works.
Provide reasons why it wouldnt be a good idea but to stay open minded enough not to insult the person by saying the idea is stupid or outside the realm of the game/"disrespectful" to the dev's vision.

But they dont do that, they get defensive and mad and lay in clown awards.

Im with OP. Its a compliment! Even the people asking for multiplayer/ Co-Op. I dont think its a good idea. Ive said as much but i never insult or get defensive, i provide reasons as to why its not a great idea and how not adding it would be a great benefit to the game as opposed to a detriment for lacking this "game longevity increasing" feature.

Its 100% not a compliment lol. Trust me I worked on projects requests are 90% the time selfish and annoying as hell. Its like you pretend you like their work but also are saying "BUT" then listing thins they are not doing don't want to do, that you feel they should do lol.

Get over it 90% of requests are not complements especially on steam forums its people who want their dream game can't make it so find some one elses game they making in their vison of their dream game and going "yeah you know what ♥♥♥♥ your dreams add this other stuff in so its my dream game isntead!"

Like only time you can remotely argue it is if its a cash grab or being built by a studio just for money. And its still not a complement then either lol But its justified this game is supposed the creators dream game its going up to an artist painting and going "ok I see what you did there, but you know what I like sad clowns how about you just under whole them of this work and add in sad clown for me, also could you use other colors? Oh oh and um you know draw my dog for fun in the corner!"

Trust me its not complement its you saying "well you can code I can't so here is list of ♥♥♥♥ I want in my dream game but can't bother to learn to do it, so you go ahead do all this for free for me now." Its like bruh what? Its like when I got artist friends and people try to scam them for free works going "hey I bought some stickers so now, uh do a 200 hour commision for me for free, I like your work, just needs to be done way I want, no no I am not gonna pay you one cent more just do it this is a complement!"

Like I see this crap all time when I worked on some game projects and now I run a booth a few times a year and sell stuff IRL and people like "so do you take commisions? Or custom orders I got this..." Its like you wouldn't like my prices if I did, or the conditions sorry I am doing ok not doing one time commissions for penaunts. Them "hold on I never said I would pay you money but think all the exposure you could get if I posted it online!" Its like get the hell out of my booth lol

My man what? You shoot people down before you even discuss the price and terms of a commission? Hell you should be pumped they are asking about rates not saying I'll give $300 for the the whole job. No where on here do I see people suggestions coming off as "I can't do this so you do it!". People are just throwing out suggestions, haven't seen anyone saying "♥♥♥♥ YOUR DREAMS". If that's how you're taking it that's on you.
