A brewery is a level 2 (correction from 3) burgage only element. From an Artisan extension.
- It alone can not make Ale, it requires malt produced through
- Malthouse that uses Barley to make Malt.
- Barley from the farm fields.
The original plot plan, before you construct it should show 3 white buildings on the plot layout if it's wide enough for the final Artisan construction.
- The large main house,'
- and small white house to the left or right,
- And the small white roof shaped back yard element
Addition:
You will need to harvest Barley crop from your Fields and store it into your Farmhouse.
- From there, build a nearby Malthouse to convert your Barley into Malt.
Your Brewery Extensions from your Level 2 Burgage Plots will then turn your Malt into Ale, which can help supply your established Tavern in your settlement with its needed Ale supply.
- If the Brewery is not making Ale this can be resolved by minimizing the distance between the Malthouse and your Brewery Extensions.
- This will help the transportation of Malt to be much quicker, and streamline the process of Ale production.
No, artisans require only a level 2 burgage.
It does not require malt to build it. It only needs a backyard extension on a level 2 burgage.
Breweries make Ale, which is a requirement to upgrade burgages to level 3.
This. Specifically, it needs the backyard extension. (The 'house + hammer' icon separated by a line from the main house or smaller 'second dwelling' icon.)
thank you. i didn't realise there were two types of extension. really think the game should make that clear. i got so mad, cause i couldn't figure it out, i stopped playing.
