25% Sale Again Sometime?
I was going to buy it, in fact, I did buy it. Then I thought I'd rather get it on GoG, so I refunded and bought it there. Then I remembered why I don't buy games on GoG any more, and refunded there, and by then the sale was over, and I am very sad. =(

Or if you'd just rather wait some time and jump in later after some patches and updates have come out, that's fine too --"

Well, I'm sure it'll go on sale on Steam again. But none of us can tell you "when."

I'm not sure why you're confused. Maybe because you expect me to be smart. I'm not. I'm an idiot, and very forgetful.

Just get it on cd keys and redeem via steam, it's cheaper than any sale on steam have had it anyway

Or check out Yuplay ( which I'm seeing is selling for 21$ now so kinda wish I would of waited) Granted, I've never tried returning games I got from there. So you may be SoL if you go that route then try to return a third time.

Thanks, sorry for asking such an easily-answered question... Like I said before. Not smart.

I avoid those kinds of sites like the plague. There have been so many reports of fraud it's unreal. Many times the key you get will either not work or be for a different game. Even if it does work, you are trusting an unreputable site with your financial information and have no ability to refund. It can also be easy to fall for a copycat site. Even if it's a 'legit' site (none of them are truly legit), it can have malicious ads, trackers, and keyloggers.

Ultimately, you only have to get burned once and you've lost more than you ever saved. It's best to avoid the grey market. Take this with a grain of salt. It's a calculated risk, and it's important to know the risk exists. Publishers who sell on Steam are contractually not allowed to sell their products cheaper on another platform, so those keys likely did not originate through proper channels.

The only 3rd party I would consider getting a Steam Key through would be Humble Bundle. They are legitimate and benefit charities.

How does that actually that work? Does "CD Keys" buy the game in bulk from somewhere and then sell them at a markup or are they a game pirating portal?

Always wondered where sites like CDKEYS even get their game keys to begin with?
