Making bread
Hey maker, it's very unclear how to get the supply chain going to make wheat into flour and how to get that to the communal oven. I have the wheat harvested, but it doesn't want to transfer along the supply chain. please add a tutorial that explains this mechanic

Adding to this. In my savegame, the families working in the farmhouse only started making grain from the wheat after the field work was done, regardless of "threshing" priority. Game doesnt explain that you get grain from the Farmhouse.

Farm Wheat > Thresh Wheat into Grain (done in the farmhouse) > Grain turns to flour (on the Mill) > flour turns to bread (Communal Oven or Artisan Baker).

"Thresh Wheat into Grain" usually stumps people because the farmers only do it when they have nothing else to do. turn your fields to Fallow or wait until winter hits.

Also grain/flour tends to get transported to a Granary first, which can be frustrating, so you might want to build a Granary near your Mill/Oven.

Or just turn it off....
Your default for any storage, anywhere, of any kind should be 'all off'.
Hell, you should barely ever build them. Especially Storehouse, other then some niche cases with literally an item or two, you should have ONE. Singular. One (again). Firewood/charcoal. Never have market supply problems again that way.
Doubly so by not storing all the random crap your people make either. You don't need to 95% of the time, and doing so just messes things up.

Also? It's pretty clear...wheat in itself, regardless of the type, is pretty useless. Which is why the farmhouse says 'Threshing' a few times between its description and literally as an option... And...bread is made out of flour, and flour comes from ground grains...

Same reason half the complaints about farming are literally 'I made a field so big that the workers can't finish working on it in a YEAR, so therefor farming is broken'.

Apparently 'take a moment to think about this' has gone out of style.
Which, sadly, considering search engines are in BLOODY EVERYTHING and take zero effort to use these days, makes it even worse. Never before such a wealth of knowledge at fingertips, and....well...

Oh believe me, I've tried plenty of times to use the steam discussion to search for tips or anything really to explain the lack of tooltips found in game. Found 0 so far.

Tried Google aswell, but your desired search result doesnt always come up, so you're often left wondering.

Idk why you seem to have such a big animosity towards people who just bought the game. If you want people to learn something, scolding them isnt gonna help...

Is it just possible that this person has just bought the game and wants to interact with other players? Don't be so quick to judge. I know grown men who can't boil water without their mother's help. Not everyone is tech savvy. They just enjoy playing games, chatting and getting hints on the game. It was a polite question which required, I would have thought, a straight answer.
