"Error occured while launching the game: Disc write error - .....ManorLords\Binaries\win64\ManorLords-Win64-Shipping.exe"

Avast blocked some file an an "virus" and put in in quarantine. I removed it from quarantine. Now i get the error stated above. I tried checking game cohesion. There is one file missing but steam gets en error while trying to download it. I uninstalled the gmae and then deleted all the files that whee left manually. I installed again. I cant launch the game due to this error still. HELP ME !!!

I have the exact same problem but I'm using AVG antivirus. Not sure what to do.

You need to whitelist the game within the antivirus. Make an exception so that it doesn't trigger when you try to redownload the files or start the game.

Better yet, if you are on Windows 10 or 11, uninstall the 3rd party Antivirus and use Windows Defender instead.

Nothing happened for weeks and I was able to play the game and now suddenly my entire PC freezes with the message from AVG that a virus is present. Really great, such an experimental update....PLEASE FIX THIS ASAP!!

Ok i "fixed" it. I installed the game on another partition. It installed nicely, and when the "virus" alert popped up i chose "add an exception" and now it runs just fine xD Not the best solution but i can play at least

Same issue I am having, except AVG has nothing in quarantine, blocking nothing. No word yet from devs regarding this that so many of us are having today.

Update for my post earlier....I used Revo Uninstaller and deleted all of AvG from my computer. Even though it showed nothing being blocked or quarantined, removing it allowed the game to work again.

Back to normal after removing 3rd party security.
