how is the optimization?
I would like to know how difficoult it would be for my pc to run the game; expecially if we keep in mind that as the game progresses it will fill up and run slower.
I can run total war warhammer 2 with no lag on medium graphic, even with big battles, but it will stress my pc quiet a bit.
Rome 2 is a bit better, and i can keep the graphic on high on regular sized battles.

How can we tell you that if you don't post your machine specs?

Or you could look up the requirements yourself. Minimum and required requirements are on the store page.

Here -- I'll save you a little work. Keep in mind that minimum requirements usually give a suboptimal experience.

SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
MINIMUM:
Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system
OS: Windows® 10 (64-bit)
Processor: Intel® Core™ i5-4670 (quad-core) / AMD® FX-Series™ FX-4350 (quad-core)
Memory: 8 GB RAM
Graphics: NVIDIA® GeForce® GTX 1050 (2 GB) / AMD® Radeon™ RX-460 (4 GB) / Intel® Arc™ A380 (6 GB)
DirectX: Version 12

I can play some games on ultra graphic because they are well optimized, but i can not play others 'cause they are optimized as ♥♥♥♥.
Total war attila says that it needs a minimum of 3 gb of ram to be played, but everybody knows that that is bullcrap.
i do not trust the information panel.

that is why i was going for personal experience.
ALSO, my pc is good but a little old by now. its performance are not what they are on paper any more. That is why i was going by comparison with similar games that everybody interested in the strategic genre knows about.

Ghost wire tokyo on paper is 5 times heavier than rome 2 or Attila.
But in practice i can play it without putting almost any strain on my pc, while i am not even trying Attila, given what i heard.

Until you look at them pairing it with a i9 13700k.

If you play on a potato, you will not be able to put the graphics in full gear. It is sad that you have to state this these days, in the past this was common sense.
It runs very very well

Or when it's in Indian and no riva tuner stats anywhere to be seen.

Is kind of early to tell I think.

Mine's an older machine and is fine at first, if I let Nvidia optimize for it it'll shove everything on ultra - up to max (which it should given the specs, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3060 V2 OC Edition 12GB ). Now that's on a board with a i7-4790K clocked 4ghz, is 32g ram running win10-Pro.

The bigger I build (population grows globally - above 2k, like about 2200 or so), can get lag due the ai.

When I looked though it was not taxing the system and I keep meaning to take a look at how many process threads it's running... something tells me somehow it sometimes loses track of them.

i got the game: the optimization is good, if you can run rome 2 on mid-good graphic, then you are set.
Even with 200 people on the city there were no drops in fps, and the fans were chill.
The requirments are correct, they do not lie.
On ultra graphic my pc gota little too hot for my liking, but even on normal the game looks good.

Thought I had a pretty decent graphics card but even on medium settings I was still at 100% GPU and almost all VRAM in use. I've got a Radeon RX 570 with 4 GB. I never hear the fans kick up into high gear for anything but this game. Not sure if that's what others experience.

the game is smooth as butter
