Trade Prices After Patch
It seems like the patch changed how trade works. Even with the perk, imports are more expensive than the $ you get for exports. Is everyone else experiencing the same thing?

Ah, just noticed the development screen tooltip. Tariffs are reduced by half instead of being eliminated.

Kinda wish tariffs were a percent instead of a flat number; even though I think they were a flat number irl.

I agree! It feels weird that everything costs 5 more to import than export, making certain raw materials 5 times as expensive whereas some expensive items are less than double the cost to import.

There are several ideal exports for easy money:
Roof Tiles
Tools
Shoes
Charcoal
Bows
Pikes
Shields
Yarn

Yes imports are not as cheap, but previously with the "Better Deals" you could buy them for the same as the sell price, which was super broken. The economy is much more balanced now. Still pretty easy, but better.

I thought it was pretty broken too, but I've also never actually purchased anything on the market.

It's not export/import from another country, with taxes on it etc.

It's basically trading with another town.

If you sell something, they have to make money on it by selling it themselves, so.... they pay you less.

If you buy something, their 'vendor fee' comes with that price, so... you pay more.

This was done to limit the number of trade items trading from each of your regions villages / towns. to force you to use the available features that each region is (should) be used for.
