Anyway, here's a tip for you. You don't need many soldiers. Just use your base spearmen militia.
When bandits appear and the baron raises his militia, you do the same. Get your militia as close as possible without spawning the bandits or getting in the way of the barons troops.
When the baron engages the bandits, run your units to the bandit camp. Once the baron is done killing the bandits, claim the camp. Get the rewards, zero effort.
What % are you tithing? If you have a strong economy you can import a large surplus of food and set the tithe to 50% to maximize influence gain.
