Enemy lord stealing all the bandit camps
Every time one spawns he'll literally send all his mercenaries after it, giving me no chance to loot/recover my stolen stuff. Please make the AI lord less aggressive in this regard, the player simply can't hope to match up to him early game.

Latest patch slowed him down for claiming land.

Also this leave me with no way of getting influence early game and the AI lord just claims all the land

Idk man I swear he's claiming land faster now; in my current game (with a REACTIVE AI none the less) the lord already made his first claim the 2nd year; I barely have any influence at this point.

When you get an announcement about a bandit camp, pause the game, rouse your militia. It's not that hard, I almost never get beat to camps. I don't even use the run command and I still get there first.

Please don't, they are not hard to get. The game will be too easy if we change that. If you can't rush it because you don't have troops or anything, you just need to WAIT, build and get stronger. This game is not made to be win without a bit of city building.

Even in that case that doesn't prevent you from winning at the end.

I'm having an experimental playthough with no bandit camps. I wanted to see how much harder it was to get influence and money without them. And boy, its so much harder, especially if you don't go into the trade perks (another condition i set myself). Influence only from the church... i'm years in and still saving up for my first second region.

On the plus side, the baron hasn't claimed any new regions yet either, because he can't get bandit camps for influence either.

Anyway, here's a tip for you. You don't need many soldiers. Just use your base spearmen militia.

When bandits appear and the baron raises his militia, you do the same. Get your militia as close as possible without spawning the bandits or getting in the way of the barons troops.

When the baron engages the bandits, run your units to the bandit camp. Once the baron is done killing the bandits, claim the camp. Get the rewards, zero effort.

Can also keep your retinue just standing out in the middle region. If a bandit camp spawns, you slap the sh!t out of them real fass

You can easily steal the loot while his forces are fighting the bandit, even, before the current patch.

What % are you tithing? If you have a strong economy you can import a large surplus of food and set the tithe to 50% to maximize influence gain.
