Livestock trading post on King's Road or not?
It seems I always have questions. The trade house is best to be placed on King's Roads to get random passing by traders so you don't always need to pay for a trading route. Great for starts.

However what about the livestock trading post? You can't buy or setup Free Trader routes for steady livestock traders to come by. So they are only passive traders or what? I would assume they use a different logic but I kind of want to know. I'm asking so that I know if building a pasture near a kings road is needed or can I plot a livestock trading post anywhere on my own roads and be at ease that a trader comes regularly to buy and sell livestock?

It can be anywhere, so long as a road connects it to the kings road. Same with trading post.

When you assign a family to it and set an amount of an animal you want, those family members will physically walk to the edges of the map (random edge each time) to go buy the sheep. So it takes a long time to stock up on them.

The video I watched on YouTube mentioned that a trading post on a kings road gets random merchants that wander the roads that can buy what you have for sale and sell what you need. However it has to be on the kings road. I don't know if this is true or not.
