That said, the OP's rig should be able to get more than 1000 population without major lag starting, assuming not native 4k resolution (eg, at least using DLSS w/4k). I've been at 1400-1500 with a 9900k/2080ti without any drops. Although I would bet almost anyone, on any rig, going past 3k-4k or so population, would tell you performance at that point is pretty "terrible" outside of maybe 1x playspeed.
Things you can try:
----turn off autosave if it's causing stutter every time it goes off at this point
----turn down game speed/don't play at 12x
----if your system ram is OC to reach its stated/high speed, turn that off in the motherboard BIOS, you can always turn it back on if it doesn't help.
No idea why it's happening on that rig at 1000 tho.
sooo... it matter of engine or the game itself which we cant do anything
like skyline 2, after 60k the game will not smooth as the first 20k population
