Buildings cannot be constructed and managed within the Manor area!!!
I love this game but. Buildings cannot be constructed and managed within the Manor area!!!
You can only build roads from the Manor dashboard.
I think this is the worst flaw, because if you want a city with walls you have to first build the whole city, but if you don't start building the Manor and pieces of walls (or towers) you get nothing from the taxes.

they will add city walls in the future, manor walls is only for manor lords, not for plebs xD

Sorry, i meant wooden walls, palisade

Same problem, certain building (like a farm) inside the perimeter extended by the palisades of the manor, becomes unselectable. (In fact, this opens the property of the Manor)

This, the manor walls are meant only for the manor, any buildings inside the manor area other than those specifically meant to be built there wont work properly.
Proper town walls are planned for sometime in the future.

The wooden walls are only for the manor, you're not supposed to build them around your city because, as you've seen, anything inside the perimeter becomes part of the manor.
Moreover, walls and towers are just cosmetics with no practical use(for now).

We are not entirely sure how the thing is supposed to work in the future, but for now the Castle planner is just literally a proof of concept, it's entirely cosmetic, buggy as hell, and clearly lacks most planned features. The fact that stuff inside the manor cannot be managed my be because it's not supposed to be - e.g. catle planner may be literally intended to just build castles, outside of your cities - or it may be intended to double as a city fortification mechanic in the future and the functionality does not allow for it yet.
We can't say at this point, all we know this is all stuff that will be expanded upon in the future, to call it just "work in progress" is an understatement.

I see...
While waiting for a version that really manages the city walls, does an external wall force the attackers to go around?
This would already be a plus to channel them towards the place best defended by our militias/guards

The one time I bothered to put up manor walls I watched villagers, oxen, traders and a chicken walk right through them so I'm going to say no.

I was also very confused by the non-selectable buildings inside the estate. It took me a while to realize that this is a bug and not my poor city planning.

Not reliably. I had archers posted within my manor's walls to repel a bandit raid, but the bandits, when trying to attack the archers, were not completely held off by the palisade fence. Some of them slowly trickled inside and started attacking the archers.

Walls are purely cosmetic as of right now, and the towers do not seem to serve any purpose yet.
