Manor would not snap, i guess the ground wasn't level enough.
Demolished it an made something more small on level ground and it worked
i allso found a picturesqe hill, laid the foundation. but they never buildt it. figured there were some bug, moved it closer and uglier. then found out i needed to add a gate to make them build it. hehe
In my game before that it was shown fully.
However it was a pain to get it build because the ox got stuck several times.
I had the same problem, build a manor wall on a picturesque hill (including gate house) and for lack of lumber completed the Wall and gate house before placing the manor itself. I then was not able to place the manor anywhere, since it would not snap to any wall anymore. Had to delete the wall and rebuild it, but this time placing the manor before the last section of wall was finished.
Just make sure the area is big enough and on a flat area
