Peasant/Ox Handler not working the Ox/Hitching Post
At some point (after or when I acquired additional Oxen I believe), the Ox Handler assigned to the Hitching Post stopped working the Oxen. Oxen are standing around at the Livestock Trading Post and a worker is assigned to the Hitching Post, but the Peasant will only be in "Waiting" or "Procrastinating" mode. None of my timber is being moved. I can't collect any more timber or build any more buildings. What I have tried to resolve the issue:

- Assigned no workers to Hitching Post
- Assigned a different worker to Hitching Post
- Assigned multiple workers to Hitching Post
- Booped / Unstock Oxen all Oxen and workers assigned to Hitching Post
- Sold off all Oxen and reacquired new Oxen
- Moved Hitching Post
- Paused / Resumed Hitching Post

None of these things resolved my issue. I hope there's a trick I have missed that will fix it.

Otherwise great game. A lot of fun! Looking forward to updates / early access / official release!

Same exact bug here and also tried everything I could think of to fix it, so much potential here either way I'm still impressed!

just had the same problem, altough i am pretty in love with the game^^
the proplem is not the ox or the hithing post or the worker
its the pathing to the building (if the debug button dont work) delete the building where the ox need move and rebuild it and the ox start to move

the biggest pathing bug is when the ox need move between the starting tents
if you have 2 or more oxen the dont stuck anymore one will find the building

Had the exact same problem about 3hrs in the demo. Ox was stuck on a construction field and whatever i tried did not solve it. Without Ox moving around no choice but to quit the game. I am sure there will be a fix for this. it is still only a demo. But even as a demo it is already above all my expectations. such a beautiful game, every aspect is well thought and so immersive.. really amazing game. It puts to shame all other game of the kind. Cant wait to buy and play

it happend to me, when i moved my Hitching post. Ox moves to the new hitching post, but just stand idle there. No more, my villiage is now dieing, cause i moved the firewood cuter too and it does not get any wood to rebuild.
both unstuck options do not work,
i tried unstuck the ox, nothing happens
i tried unstuck the worker, nothing happens
i tried rebuild it, nothing happens

I had the same problem. Trees got cut all around but no ox would move to get the timber to storage house. Unstuck didn't help and in the end the entire village with over 120 people that I built up over the last 4 hours died in winter.

I too ran into some trouble after aquiring a second ox in one of my games..

Trying to build a bailey, one of my oxes got stuck after delivering 7/8 wooden logs.. Might have been the original one..

Which means i couldn't complete the bailey. And the people who where supposed to build it walked away and stopped helping.

Another time i had three oxes.. No trouble with that.

I had the same problem with the ox-pathing but i was able to get it back running. I tried to build a bailey. I placed the Guardhouse which got built but i thought i should wait for the bailey. After some time i deleted the whole area (Bailey and Guardhouse). The ox was walking again and anything went well again. I tried the Bailey again in a bigger area with Guardhouses plus the Manorhouse. And they started to work until anything was done. Then i was able to add the tax collector and a watchtower. I am not sure if it is needed to place a Manorhouse inside the bailey but only then it worked for me.

Have 20 Oxes running around. And anything is running well.

Thanks for all the great feedback. I was also building a Bailey when I decided to get a second Ox, so maybe the Bailey was what actually caused it. Will tear down the Bailey and rebuild to see if that resolves the issue. Thanks everyone!

Edit: Removing the Bailey did indeed fix the issue. Thanks everyone!

hi.
I had trouble with the ox / timbers too:
It does not pull the cut-down-timbers out of the wood.
plenty timbers are half sunk in the ground.
is the wood to steep for cut-down-trees and the ox?
the workers not seem to prior this assigned job:
they do the house gardens first, then the unassigned help in the farms,
then the village-wide transporting and only then the assigned timber-cutting-jobs..
or even not...
so I cant build the manor or the tax-collector...
but so far: wow, what a game! i love it!

Some problem. Bought a second ox and the ox didn't move left the livestock trading post. By mistake sold the second one and the only remaining ox was brought to the trading post. Bought the second one again and both won't leave the lifestock trading post. Relocating the hitching post didn't helped.
In the end I destroyed the lifestock trading post. The ox remained in the landscape. After reloating the hitching both ox were picked up and get back to work. Maybe in a certain situation this might help ?

I also ran into this same problem today.
And as for several others it also happened to me while constructing the walls for my bailey, so I could build a manor and then a tax collector.

My bailey walls were only around half constructed when work stopped.
I realised that I had run out of wood for construction.

I thought my woodcutters had run out of wood so I changed their working area.
I did that several times untill I realised, I had loads of timber lying around in the woods without being picked up. Only then I discovered that my ox had stopped working.

I tried moving the ox post. It didn't help. I tried assigning a worker to it (I don't think, I had that previously). But nothing I did could make it work again. I was out of logs. I couldn't build anything more and winter was coming, so I gave up and quit the game.
