Then you need these things
Market stalls (they don't need to be manned, just present, they fill up) in a central-ish location
Church
Tavern along with it's ale production line (farm making barley, malt maker turning barley into malt, then the alehouse which makes the ale and delivers to the tavern)
With all of that done you will be able to get level 2 burgages
In order to get to level 2 burgage plots, you need to fulfill all of their amenities and market supply requirements. Most of them are easy to solve, but the "clothing" stall is misleading because you don't actually need the clothes commodity. Instead you need: leather, linen or yarn. The fastest and easiest way to get to burgage level 2 plots is to hunt animals and build a tannery as soon as you can afford it.
- Utilize Chicken Coops for eggs and vegetable gardens for substantial produce – for the latter, a larger Burgage plot with a bigger backyard will give better yields, although requires more time to be worked on.
- Berries can be sourced and with a Development point the yield can be increased.
What I have found is you need to be careful upgrading too many houses because the requirements get stricter each time so unless you can keep up the supply the approval will drop. So dont upgrade more than your need as level 1 houses are easy to supply.
Presently I only have 80 villagers and am struggling with providing food and firewood for them as I also have several villagers locked as artisans which was a mistake. I should have traded for their needs instead.
