Per title, my CPU fans go crazy when this game is running. Anyone else having this issue?

sounds like a missing frame limiter. if you dont put the game on 60 fps or some other option it will try to present it to you with 999+ FPS so your GPU will go nuts.

I had the same problem in the first 5 minutes, then I turned the graphics on High instead of Ultra and it fixed the problem. Also restarting the game every 2-3 hours, or the pc, it's always a good thing.

No.
Having played a few other EA's using Unreal 4, i have found that on initial release they all send my fans crazy until they optimise it later in the development cycle. One i have noticed, Icarus which i think also uses Unreal 4 did exactly the same in the early days. A couple of years of optimisations later and it runs quietly for me now. So i assume it'll be the same with Manor Lords in a year or two.
i have the same issue, running i7 12700F and 3080 RTX.
what happens is the game runs smooth on ultra 1440p, and every now and then, every 15-20 secs or so, the GPU fans suddenly go from their normal speed to 100% speed, blowing 3000 RPM or so and very noisy.

no idea why it happens, the temps are fine and steady around the 80c so theres no need to them to push that high. its really strange.

Tried different programs to config the fan speed curves, none seem to work, its like the game's graphics are overriding everything and making the fans go crazy.
maybe invest in good CPU cooling

I am runnning on I9 13900K and ASUS ROG RYUO III 360

keep my CPU cool and very quite, i very much hear nothing.
I have a decent rig with Ryzen 9 5900x and Nvidia 3080Ti. I ran the game at 144 Hz which made the fans go crazy. When lowered to 60 fps it became better but fans still have to high load compared to many other games.

@144: CPU and GPU temp is averaging at < 50 °C at > 72 °C
@60: CPU and GPU temp is around at < 50 °C and 69 °C .

Not very scientific testing but the load on GPU fans changed dramatically when switching between 60 and 144 Hz.
I think mine did it once or twice but never again, don't know what happened there.
Currently running the game on Ultra settings but capped at 60fps using v-sync for this reason as I don't see the need to strain the CPU and GPU more than that in a city-building game.
I have this little utility called "Fan Control" and it looks like it is GPU that is most taxed. I have GTX 1660 Super and I am able to keep GPU temp under 80 degrees with 70% fan speed with other games. Manor Lords runs somewhat hotter and I get 82-83 degrees on GPU and my fans go to 75% speed at this point. (This is with max video settings enabled in the game). CPU is running smoothly, most likely you hear your GPU fans ramping up.

Hopefully this can be further optimized. I do recommend this free utility (Fan Control), helps you understand what is going on and where.
They must really love this game
the same---
Yup, same here. All my fans go crazy and only when playing Manor Lords, as far as I can tell it´s the CPU that is the culprit ... or poor programming ... :-D
Someone said I need more fans so found this site called only fans… I overheated instead of my computer so I think it works
Just play 30 fps. You don't need the extra frames in strategy games. Plus you'll save some money when your PC is using less watts.
