No thanks.
Anno and Civilization have a similar yearly cycle, a day night cycle and no strobe lighting.
Flawed argument
Rip nights.
I think they used oil lamps though.
Having no nights kills immersion for me since the game will feel pretty static visually without them, such a missed opportunity with this cool looking engine.
but i respect dev decisions.
With the really pretty change of seasons, I wouldn't call the game static.
Though I'd liked to see some nights as well, even if the village is sleeping tight then, but yes, gameplay wise I see the point of just get rid of them.
To the arguement, nights never gonna add something to a game: take a look at Workers & Resources. Though it is a complete different time, so not comparable to ManorLords.
Like night time in Oxygen not included.
Would it be nice if it would turn slowly darker as the winter comes? And back to spring getting near, get lighter again; maybe we just barely made out of winter, the game looks already gorgeous that can really gives that vibe.
It gives the idea of the time passed as well.
I am ok with a day/night cycle IF
A) the night cycle can be turned off.
and B) the night cycle is veeeeeeery minimal in it's lighting effect. In most city builders, the night cycle is SO dark that the game is unplayable for half the time. No thank's to that.
