Dude, i`d be VERY happy if they add Miyamoto Usagi in a posterior DLC or something like that, it matches perfectly to the game, put some time travel tale and there we go

DLC chars are the easiest thing in this game, all they have to do is the artwork/animation/voice, and not worry about balancing the chars since the framedata is more or less universal with some small differences here and there for flair.

Basically eveyone is a function of the same moveset:

People will experience the gameplay and have second thoughts when they realize they're buying what amounts to re-skins unless they're real cheap.

With that in mind, I suspect they will sell an update package with a bunch of new chars rather than trying to sell them individually. More stages and modes like Survival, Shredder-mode etc.

Carter perhaps? Of course, that's assuming that they're willing to include stuff from the "red skies" seasons. There's also Hokum Hare and Mona Lisa but really, these are very minor characters.

Edit: Ace Duck would also be a pretty cool cameo character.

This. Having Usagi Yojimbo added as DLC would be the closest fans will ever get to a Usagi Yojimbo game.

But there are plenty of other characters they can add to this game: Mondo Gecko, Irma, Carter, Mona Lisa, Punk Frogs, etc.
If they're willing to bring in other characters from other stories, then maybe Alopex, Tiger Claw, Shinigami, Angel, and Karai (although you could probably substitute her with Lotus Blossom)
