If your having audio problems try limiting your threads, I was having this issue alot but it was because my game was putting it at max threads. Check your options in the launcher and put it below your CPU threads
It wasn't noticeable until after the class overhaul update, when many old players came back, got good enough that Damnation with randoms is viable, and realised how dependent a player is on audio cues to know what's coming from another room.
Bad players of course, don't experience this problem, so they don't notice how many audio cues are missing at any given time. If I hear one hound but four spawned, it can mean the difference between preparing to dodge/push or pre-charging an ability.
It went from once every 5-6 rounds to every couple of minutes.
