so they took two steps forward with vermintide 1 and 2 and then they go and release this janky mess? enemies literally spawning out of thin air the second you turn your back sometimes right in front of your eyes. i just got vote kicked from a match where i carried the team to the end and was fighting what i thought was the final wave of enemies when the impatient kiddies voted me out. nothing showed on my screen that this was happening i just got d.c'd losing all points from mission. in vermintide there were no infinite waves and you could take as long as you liked to score max points from any mission by taking out all waves they send your way. they also removed the stats breakdown at the end of every mission along with only a set reward regardless of how well you do(or how many you vote to kickfrom the game)......this game feels like a huge step backwards to me.

there were lots of infinite waves (waves would endlessly trickle in especially with bad host comp) and if host left you lost all progress worst than single person dc team based.... its a step forward even if not much.

DT is worse than VT2, pretty unequivocally. It's just newer and 40k.

Sadly, yes. FOMO Cash shops are more lucrative than bugfixing.
If everyone agreed to kick you probably did something dumb, most likely killing enemies for no reason behind while everyone was waiting for you at the next checkpoint. At the very least stick together with the group, much like in vermintide.

Also enemies don't spawn out of nowhere they enter from doors all around the level, and also like vermintide the game gives you a very clear sound warning when you are about to be backstabbed, if you pay attention to that you won't be caught by surprise.
Don't worry they started using more VT2 spawn logic. There's a lot of spots where enemies crawl out of holes in the ground like rats did. But if you're going to tell me stuff spawning out of no where was never a thing for like 3+ years in VT2 and even their brand new map I got a Hoggers Bridge to sell you.
DT aesthetically speaking is better, because 40K > WH Fantasy. But as a game? VT2 is better, but the playerbase for both games sucks.

DT's gameplay is vastly superior, map design though I wouldn't say is better. Vermintide's maps felt like self-contained campaign missions.
Yes the game is a big step backward. Not technically but ideologically. Game doesn't even want to show the player their ping, or their score.

Weapon Specials everywhere so many to choose from, variety in weapons, weapon blessings OMG so much fun.... there was like 1-2 good weapons blessing V2 1 per weapon.

VT2 was better in every aspect except combat (maps, chars, story).
But for repetitive gameplay like in VT\DT, combat is crucial. I mean CRUCIAL.
Played 1000h in VT and 700h in DT. I know what I'm talking about.

Variety of characters builds, weapons, blessings and fast-paced combat are better than other game aspects. Ofc it's still lack of maps in DT, but I really don't care about that, I just want to smash heretics heads.

It isn't, lol. The hit detection is ass, 75% of the gun sights suck, and all the weapons attack patterns are intentionally goofy to pad the number of variants and artificially inflate the "skill ceiling." Chaff still appears behind you from solid walls and runs 3x faster than normal if you turn your back to them to sprint.

Psyker staves LMB bolts have bizarre physics compared to the bright wizard staves in VT and feel like butt to use. Assail should behave like trueflight arrows but they lost the code and couldn't figure out how to recreate it. Toughness and coherency are both stupid systems. Every ogryn talent corrals you into using nothing by heavy attacks if you want to be effective. The team stats are obfuscated to cater to insecure babies. Havoc is just Weaves again, which literally no one liked or plays. The list goes on.

Hit feedback is eons above Vermintide, in fact any kind of feedback is much better. The gameplay is more chaotic and hitting hordes has never been more satisfying. Build variety is greater and generally more fun to work with, the weaponry is imo better.
Vermintide has paywall powercreep content. ♥♥♥♥ vermintide
