Havok: how this game meant to be played.
Unpopular opinion, seems. But devs literally made people to use all available mechanics, learn teamplay and always stick together.

Before that usual damnation was look like bunch of solo players, not working builds, no spacing, no control, no cover. Team abilities like chorus - nonsence. Regular reason of auric damnations loss - everyone went do some crap and died alone in dark corners.

Now Havok teached people to use usefull for team abilities, auras, use heavy weapon for crowd control, stick together in the end. Solo destroyers quickly understood that single shooter can stop their advance very quick.
Even in regular damantion people, who tried havok (I see typical builds), start play in different way, team oriented, calm and strategical.

Well, people like hard lessons it seems.

Yep. Feels more in line with Vermintide. I only wish they didn't change the weapon stats on the gear.

i thought the game was too difficult and since ive been away they just made it more difficult. Same thing happened to payday 2.

Remember "the best modifier" elite resistance? Yeah, thats where havok belongs. In trash can.

I've said similar, Auric and Havoc don't play the same, and its up to the players themselves how far they engage with it, with the ability to still unlock all the cosmetic clothing by playing any difficulty.

These days I turn my brain off a little more in Auric Heresy to relax, but have the same level of enemies coming to keep up that level of intensity.

I just wish the servers wernt all over the show at the moment in terms of stability, some days are really lagging more than others.

I think the issue is that there is always a subset of players that believe they should be able to complete everything. I'd advise some of those to try playing GTFO and see how they get on.

Frankly, if you wanted to play a game like that, load up GTFO. It will do exactly what Havoc does but It'll do it properly. You want a team based shooters that plays like a proper team game? Get GTFO, and no it's not me being rude, that's the game's name.

GTFO requires more work than havok 40.

Pigeonholing players into specific metabuilds is not good gameplay.

Forcing players to cover a role is bad gameplay, really.

No surprise nobody is playing any of them :lunar2019piginablanket:
After the torture that is Auric with hordes of noobs, leavers and ruiners infesting it, Havoc feels like a new game. Even though Auric 30+ is heavily meta-focused, I'd rather play it than wave the white flag and carry hordes of deadweights in Auric.

FS just needs to remove the whole 3 attempts and you are out thing. After that Havoc will be perfect. Not sure why was that implemented in the first place.

And still, the biggest question is: Is there a quickplay button for Havok yet?
If not, lots of people will not bother, no matter how much the game mode will be tweaked and balanced.

The lack of QP is not an issue. The mode is made in such way that only "pre-made group" will have any sort of success. And party finder work well enough.

I can't force myself to play havoc anymore. Having common gunners with x3 damage is lame.

Not exactly, it's all mechanical difficulty. There's no build crafting. Just game sense, knowledge and teamwork. GTFO is far more skill based.
