90% accuracy
been grinding this stupid ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ penance for a while now,
As if getting ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ noregs, enemy movement being jank as ♥♥♥♥, DOGS basically being impossible to hit because they transcend reality or having randoms walk infront of my shots hasn't been enough of a ballache.

I finally snapped and played like THE biggest ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ in the universe:

Point blank shotgun, killing ads and sniping elites only, the only shot I missed in the entire mission was one when my ogryn teammate decided he wanted the bullet for himself and walked infront of it, so I put this question to you other people.

is this penance just ♥♥♥♥♥♥ or what? i'm sick of grinding what should by all rights be a very easy penance to complete for anyone with a brain.

Would be nice if I had a way to check my accuracy post mission but hey, why would a *AAA* game allow me to do such a thing.

PS. if fatshark devs happen to read this. GIVE ME MY CHESTPEICE REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

I've had a hard time with that one too. Took me a few days but eventually I managed to get it with the MK IX shotgun because it had a low ammo count, and thankfully the randoms I played with had just enough skill to compensate for me putting it away for melee for the rest of the game. Not sure I can that much now that the PC and Xbox crowd is mixed because more often than not, will result in failures as there's a lot of people still learning the ropes.

The secret to getting it is to empty it out completely (while making sure every shot connects with something, you'll notice via hit markers) and switch to melee and never switch back. Whatever ammo you generate does not count until you switch back to it which makes things worse if you do.

It's a real pain. What is worth doing is getting some practice runs in with the gun you're using. It can help picking some ammo up during the run, the less ammo the gun has the less shots you can get away with missing. I did mine with a shotgun on the chasm terminus assassination mission.

I member when it was 100% accuracy. You can clear it easy with something low ammo count, like the revolver, shotgun, or even the plasma gun.

You both seems to be misunderstanding this as a matter of my lack of skill I guess.

It's not that I can't get the 90% accuracy required, it's the fact that atleast 4 times today I was fairly certain I'd done enough for the penance to pop and it didn't, so much so that I swapped to the shotgun and played in a fashion that I could guarentee I was hitting my shots.

I comlpeted a tier 4 mission where every single kill I'd gotten was either point blank on an ad so that I could not possibly miss, *or* I was sniping elites with the secondary fire, and the fact that said elites died and were announced as dead in game means I also didn't miss those.

Like I said above the only shot in the entire mission I missed was one where my Ogryn teammate took the bullet instead resulting in a blue hit marker.

Since they change the requirement to 90% and not 100% surely it should have given it to me.
If at least such penances gave us some real skins instead of locking them all behind a free2play game paywall...

But no, you've gotta suffer for medium tier skins while all the good ones our out of reach.

The problem for me is the having to end the mission with no ammo remaining.

I just cheesed it when the game first came out. As the emperor intended

i did with a revolver, its actually easier now since you can opt to not regen ammo on spec/elite kill
plasmagun, enough said. so long as you get a hit mark it counts as hitting the target.
also who said FS was a triple A studio it nothing of the kind.

go to the forge level wait til the end and let lose into the horde and you get it easy only shoot the revolver into hordes you kill 3 at a time and it counts as 300% accuracy.

Just did this today. Took around 10 tries.
6 with Shotgun
3 with Plasma Gun
1 with Revolver (and got it first try)

Revolver is definitely the way to go. Shotguns have weird hit boxes or something. It seems a lot of my shots weren't registering which was pissing me off since I knew I wasn't missing. Plasma Gun has a small 'load' or 'amp' time. So I'd be amping up and a team mate would kill the thing.

Revolver has small amount of ammo and passes through people. Got it first try. Don't take the ammo regen aura and preferably do a mission where something is choregraphed. For example, you can do the Strike mission as the person above said. Personally, I like the Raid mission Cosignment Yard. It has a boss at the end and enemies are spread all over so your team mates won't get your kills. You can just wait until the very end to spend all your ammo.

Shotguns have this odd thing where if every pellet doesn't hit the same target the shot counts as a miss (see-full bore not activating despite firing into a horde where every pellet hits at least one enemy with the kickback/sometimes you can barrel-stuff and it doesn't count).

Exactly that, I skilled my Vet to be viable in melee and used the Plasma gun. First try and got the penance. I don't say that it was a walk in the park but also not particularly difficult. Getting rid of ammo is also fairly easy with that gun. Good luck, I keep my fingers crossed for those wo need to do it still :)

I can vouch for the revolver aswell, shotguns may infact need every pellet to hit for the accuracy to count, as I tried the penance with fire shotgun at first and got a game with full hitmarkers, (not counting blue shield hits) and didn't get it. Tried revolver instead and got it easily. Considering revolver can pierce, it may even give you extra accuracy for hitting multiple targets but I can't confirm that.

Ah, the old Penance hate. I hear you OP. They've gotten better, for sure. However, some are still kinda....well ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

Especially the ones that force you into a skill tree or make you have to act like the main character and counter to teamwork. Hopefully* they'll get another once over and adjusted again. But who knows if they will.
