Cosmetics are UGLY
As the title says, don't you find them underwhelming? I mean, the commissar suit is an an ABSOLUTE joke, the Cadian is terrible (what with the pouch on the abdomen???. The Krieg and the armaggedon steel legion are the only good cosmetics.

All I'm trying to say is that the art team or whoever is in charge of producing those models is effing up. You just go on google and search for cadian shock troops or commissar and you will find art that's x10 better...

My main problem is that most cosmetics look like they are a mishmash of parts.
It feels like Fat Shark planned on having Eye, Head, Ear and Face slots instead of just head and then just ended up combining leftover models as they see fit.

I agree that the cosmetics look bad. If they were not all so awful I might have bought at least one.

They kinda are. Corpses had alot of the "skins" that you find around the map, they are just reskined and frankensteined from different models, Even poxwalkers have some skins, that we bought. but got a "clean" version. there are maybe, one or two that are not reskins.

None of your equipment is new, its all taken off corpses and repurposed, its supposed to look like a mishmash of parts

I do hate the commissar jacket. It makes my character look like he gained 100 pounds or more.

This is crackhead vs demonic crackheads simulator, you are supposed to look ugly and disguting and enjoy it.

Unless you play Ogryn then you are allowed to look like a giga chad.

There is 40k stuff that I have seen that does look cool. None of that is in this game. If all of the skins are supposed to look bad then that is great I will just not buy any of them.

I don't think anyone is asking for sharp looking suits or anything silly like that.

My cosmetics are looking pretty clean atm.
I solved it by swapping away from psyker and swapping to maining moms.

With one simple trick, I became santa claus and my style has been north pole ever since.

Edit: To be helpful, I have enclosed a guide on how to achieve such success.

Step 1. Create an Ogryn.
Step 2. Make them Santa.

With enough Santas, we can create a utopian society within the game, I believe.

For instance? Keep in mind this is the crackhead game. You play as 40K crackheads, not sororitas, not space marines, not drukhari, not slaanesh cultist, not orks etc.

Doesn't excuse the lazy af re-skins. and predatory practices

For instance I think the default skins in this game look better than what is on the shop. Some of the stuff I have seen on the shop is down right goofy.

I know 40k has made some really rough looking dudes look way more awesome than they had any right to look. So if they can't pull that off in this game then that is tough I suppose. If their vision for this game is the lame and goofy skins I have seen on the shop then don't change a thing. I am not going to pay them for it though.

That is literally not how any of this works.

Unless our convicts are wearing Terminator Armor, why are you under the impression that we "only" get repurporsed armor? As a matter of fact, several of our in-game missions take place in weapons factories.

What do you think those weapon factories do, exactly?

Those build weapons. :wwzgrenade: Not armor... :SHDdeathwing: :steammocking:

Jokes aside, I think it's quite possible the Morningstar get's supplies from those factories, but I also got the feeling most stuff like the weapons and body armor is indeed repurposed and not new.
But that's neither here nor there...

90% of weapons are repurposed, its even shown in the "cutscene" of the weapons shop. But for the armor, that is PAID for being reskins? or frankensteined pieces that were already in the game on npcs? no excuse. We still don't have the advertised ogryn armor to mention.

Variation is fine, but what i'm referring to is these part mismash cosmetics, I think Ogryn is the best example.

You got a cracked helmet, cracked helmet with goggles, cracked helmet with a balaclava and a cracked helmet with both.

Enemies being reused to an extent is alright, it just gives visual diversity, my main qualm is segmenting existing pieces and selling them off as unique cosmetics.
