More likely to see a bunch of new missions on the current maps.
Maybe a new archetype.
Oh and your cosmetics doesn't carry over.
Wait sorry VT1 go to VT2 in 3 years time, so maybe DT still have somewhere to go yet.
id like to see a new class or better 'sub class' options to really push your character into 1 specific role.
probably wont happen but another hive city on the planet, fighting similar ♥♥♥♥ but with a genestealer cult that were trying to shut down before they can call a hive fleet over.
We got a small number of maps in 2023 only due to the content flow being on a hiatus while they worked on the fixes. Ever since they resumed the content flow we've received new stuff every month.
So in the best case scenario we might see even something as massive as 12 major updates to the game in 2024. Each of these being a new map, new weapons, new bossfights & cinematics, and most likely that fifth character archetype too at some point.
It depends on whether they've got the budget and manpower to keep the current pace going though. If their budget gets scaled down, then I'd expect maybe just six such major updates to the game instead.
Oh, and tons more monetization. We've got the free updates, expect a paid expansion in the near future. Expect paid sub-classes. Expect them to milk their fanbase for every penny the same way Games Workshop does.
Vt1 laid the ground work for for the tide games.. dark tide is not akin to vt1 at all
I actually think they will stick with the game for quite a while now and just keep adding contents, hopefully at a faster pace than this year.
The fundamental mechanics are sound and the amount of locations, factions and other game modes they could add are huge plus due to the setting they have far less restrictions than VT 2
I'm optimistic for this game now they have started to get their act together
