So this game have a proper solo mode like Vermintide 2 yet?

Since I play solo the majority on my time in the previous tide games I expect the same for Darktide before I jump in and join the slaughter of deviants and the like for the glory of future Sigmar and all that so...

Is it ready yet?

Looks like it was updated this month as well. Won't work with progression it seems but might scratch that single player itch. I'd love to know if it works, I was about to buy the game today but hesitated after seeing there was no single player.

Well it's a start... progression isn't everything. I'll pick up the game once its 50% off... I mean I can enjoy coop from time to time just got more into a rhythm playing solo... just something I got into was a big fan of doing it with the worse vt1 bots and finding exploits to take shortcuts through the maps... once they patched those up I didn't have as much fun haha.

I do enjoy the ambience and artistry of the maps but from what I've seen darktide doesn't have the variety that VT1-2 have.

Vermintide 2 never had a functional solo without some mods (extremely competent AI companions) which made the difficulty weird.

If you want a solo game, there are great single player games out there. I don't know why you'd want this for solo. I don't think it's a good use of developer time to make a fundamentally multiplayer experience solo-compatible either.

You seem like somebody on a weird crusade with your heels dug in. Good luck with that.

Well if you are good enough you can have fun true soloing maps... I get a kick out of watching vt1-2 playthroughs of that. I was able to do solo vt1 maps with bots on nightmare mode and some of the shorter ones on cataclysm and that's with vanilla vt1 bots which are even worse than default vt2 bots.

no? even if the vanilla AI was worse VT2 allowed for private solo lobbies and to change a lobby's restriction mid match so you if u got a quickplay with no one else you could set it to private and play it solo

it was more than functional even with dodgy AI

DT straight up does not allow sinlge person private lobbies and the bot AI is MUCH worse, straight up not coded to know how to deal with hordes, elites, specials or monsters, they dont have skills or grenades to use and their gear cant be changed

Did the Solo-play gang put you up to this? Were you captured and forced to reply to yourself by the coop-gang? Blink twice if you're a hostage.

Also you might be big into the online coop but a lot of us became and stayed tide fans because of the various ways to play the game solo from true solo to strategizing which class of bots with which items would suit each particular mission best to solo them with... at least I had a lot of fun replaying missions like that till I found combinations that where more efficient or fun than the next or last.

If Fatshark could provide that as well in darktide... well that sure would be swell and I got 30 bucks waiting for them if they eventually do it so what's the problem with that?

More people playing darktide is good for darktide. Having the coop on the side is a nice extra of course :)
