When (read: if) Tertium winds up being saved, everything that happened will wind up as one big [REDACTED by order of the Inquisitiion] line so the populace of the Imperium has no idea anything ever happened. Any of the populace that saw or just heard something will also be redacted by order of the inquisition, they redact alot of information... and people just to stop said information from ever being known.
Hell there may be an Exterminatus ordered even if the taint of chaos is cleansed from the planet, just to prevent any news from escaping.
I know that Exterminatus has become a meme but the Imperium doesn't blow up planets, especially vital ones, unless they have no other recourse to stop Chaos from spreading.
