No option to turn off hitmarkers ? Seriously ?
Yet another PvE game that feels the need to impose hitmarkers on the player.
I literally see nothing else than the hitmarkers when shooting and hitting enemies, headshots, dismemberments, everything is hidden by that pointless cross just there to remind me I'm in a game and break immersion as much as possible...

Why people put these in PvE game is beyond me (actually, I know why, it's because the game has poor feedback on hits, so they slap the hitmarkers with that "tack" sound to make you believe the weapon hits hard, even tho the enemy doesn't react much to it...).

50 less FPS than in the beta and they can't even put a hitmarker option...

All the preview videos don't have them, even the steam videos. I still can't find a way to remove them and have missed he refund window now. Can't stand them.

I'd remove them if I can. I'd also remove the crosshair and that stupid, pointless little dot in the middle of the screen, what the hell is that supposed to be for?

The dot is to help headshot with some melee weapons, but usually after a few hours you don't need it anymore and can desable it.

Yeah, that's probably what infuriates me the most, they know it looks bad, they turn it off for every trailer and gameplay showcase, but in the actual game they force it on you, even tho it's super easy to turn off...

They are imposed on you so you wont be a useless addition to your team, good on fatshark

If you need hitmarkers to tell you when you land a hit, you should probably play something other than an FPS.

Even games where you can turn off the HUD, the ONLY thing that you can't turn off is the hitmarkers. I usually wait to see actual gameplay for an FPS before I buy it, cause I've been tricked too many times by trailers showing off the beauty of the game with no HUD, only to be bombarded with ten thousand HUD elements on screen when I actually play the game, and usually with no way to turn them off.

A spurt of blood at the target I'm aiming at is all the hitmarker I need.

Are you saying without the hitmarkers there would be no way for you to know if you hit your target? For me its just a type of hand-holding that I prefer not to have in my games, not only does it make playing the game less immersive, but it also makes the game wayyyy too easy. Having all the information spoon fed to me through the HUD, where is the challenge in that?

Heck, even Modern Warfare II finally added the option to turn them off for those who don't want them. Because there are graphical ques for hitmarkers in the game already. Blood, shattering armor and ragdoll. I'm pretty sure Darktide has the same graphical ques too, right?
