Darktide for FREE
- So far we know DarkTide will be free on game pass.
- Just seen a retailer giving DarkTide Imperial Ed for free when purchasing a RTX30xx card. Seems to be a global deal with Nvidia.

Anyone here knowing of other ways to get it for free or cheaper?

Edit :
- Using refund policy so Darktide beta is lended or demo-ed until release.
- Free to keep weekend on Steam before DarkTide 2 / GreenTide / whatever launch.
- Group buy with Steam family share but you need to get rid of your family afterward if they plan to play on your save.

Darktide will eventually be off gamepass so it's not really free, more like temporary access.
Might as well just find someone who bought the game and use family sharing, that is free.

The only place it's effectively "free", is with a purchase of a RTX 30-series GPU, as you mentioned.

Game Pass is a subscription - nothing it offers, is "free". You're paying for it with a subscription.

Keep an eye on this site: https://isthereanydeal.com/
It keeps track on various sales, across reputable keysellers (read: the legit ones..).
Maybe it'll show up there, at some point.

OK guys we're all aware it's an online game. You need to pay your ISP and buy a graphic card to run it and it will have an end of life because servers. So it's not "free" like love or oxygen. Not the point of this thread.

plus note, as far as ive seen, gamepass players and steam players wont be able to play together

As I understand he is interested in deals where you don't pay for the game itself, but get it through other means as added bonus.
Which would be gamepass subscription (temporary*) or that deal with RTX 30xx cards Nvidia Experience is currently advertising.

Most games that are available on Game Pass can stay there at least for three months, or some of them even for a whole year. However, once they are removed from the Game Pass library, you lose the chance to play them.

Is that possible, I mean where does that say?

you cant, steam refund policy is clear, to refund you need less than 2hrs gametime in 2 weeks after game purchase date.

None of those deals are free. You are renting it with gamepass and you are paying for it when you buy a new GPU.

Yes. Darktide is a live service, it's temporary regardless of the platform, so it will be removed from Gamepass or Steam at one point that's a certainty.

Where's your quote coming from tho? Do they have a deal for three month only, a whole year?

Nobody knows what time Darktide will stay on Gamepass, it's not announced beforehand.

you can, the product you buy needs to have less than 2 hours of play time and the 14 days go into effect at time of the products release, or if released when bought, the time of acquisition.
as you said, but here is the diff:

the reason why we can refund it, is because the beta is listed as a sep game, the timer on the title we bought doesnt have a single minute on it even if we have played the beta for 1500 hours.

edit: i have refunded while having 17 hours of beta time, and then got the game again^^

Okay three month is the worst of the worst case but no one can confirm. Seems also short lived when they can potentially earn from ingame transactions.

Exactly. And since there is not enough content for more than two weeks anyway at release I'm gonna take advantage of this to the absolute max. And then I'm gonna watch how bad there FOMO and monetization scheme gets and maybe buy it with a discount if its bearable and worthwhile at some point.
that is assuming we get the full game in the beta or large enough portion, but yea deff go for it.
personally for me after having played the CBT im sure i'll be having more than enough fun with it to justify the cost regardless of what the full version will look like:D
