also mentions anti-piracy so it's a little unclear if they are just
adding Denuvo anti-cheat or if Denuvo anti-tamper is also coming.
Ultimately I dislike and am against both. Both have a good amount of issues and have caused performance and stability issues. There
are better options for DRM than Denuvo anti-tamper (including the best
option for customers, DRM free) and there are also much better options
for anti-cheat than Denuvo anti-cheat. Just thought that it's important for people to know that they are two different things.
Removing game from wishlist.
I corrected the Title :)
But i would like to add, that something like that shouldnt be in the comments, but in the Post itself
It is in the post itself. The announcement was about using Denuvo anti-cheat. Never once did they mention anti-piracy. They clearly and specifically mention only the anti-cheat, it just had to be clarified in the comments because of people like you.
Maybe this wouldn't have happened if kids weren't too cheap to spend $12 on a game.
Good lord, dude. READ before commenting. They aren't using Denuvo Anti-Piracy, they are ONLY using Denuvo Anti-Cheat.
Both are equally bad. Shame I cannot refund.
Yeah, they both suck for different reasons, but at least the anti-cheat doesn't eat up half your CPU, it just insists on kernel-level access.
On an unrelated note, I'm pretty sure I see you on Post Scriptum regularly.
I think cos have every right to protect their product against theft. If it means invasive software, then that's that.
Don't support pirates and piracy and don't do it and then this won't be a problem.
It's still Denuvo, still crap. Denuvo has done so much anti consumer stuff, they shouldn't be supported even if it's just their ♥♥♥♥♥♥ anticheat.
Except DRM consistently fails to stop any piracy and DRM infested games get cracked the same day as release almost every time. All the while people who wasted money on the legitimate game copy will enjoy 10% worse performance in game along with system-level spyware. Oh and even better there's a chance the DRM will screw up and make your game library completely unplayable until they get around to fixing it which happened just recently with Denuvo.
DRM is trash and any games that include it deserve to get pirated.
This has absolutely nothing to do with piracy. They are not using any form of DRM, only anti-cheat, as has been stated a few trillion times in this thread alone. Pirating games has absolutely no bearing on the fact that this game is using anti-cheat software.
