Zero Hour

Damage values need to be higher, for a realistic game its so low
how does an m4 do 25 damage for chest per bullet, and the 7.62 do 35 damage... seems ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ to me

The M4 seems to put down enemies in two or three shots, seems fine to me at least for PvE.

I do agree the damage doesn't seem right for realism
the m4 should be under 22 damage, and the 7.62 should be much higher.

After doing some testing, in PvE they both seem to be a 2-3 shot kill to the torso. Maybe the 7.62 could get moved to the 1-2 area, but it doesn't seem to be unrealistic.

Just search up "Zero Hour gun damage statistics" its on one of the websites there

My point is that I don't really see what's unrealistic about an M4 or a SCAR taking two body shots to drop someone. Like I said, maybe the SCAR could be moved to the only 2 shot territory, but other than that they seem solid enough. One shot to the head, or two to the body.

So max health is 100 (i assume). 25 damage per bullet means 4 shots to the chest. I shoot at AI and noticed that they dropped almost instantly compared to players. I killed AI like a good barely even flicking past them and killing them. Yet a player seemingly takes a barrage of bullets like im blowing farts out the barrel of my gun

Gotcha, that's why I had commented earlier about PvE. I can't speak for the PvP side of the house, but four shots does seem pretty generous. Unless the terrorists are armored up or something, like the AI you see on the Military Plane mission.

Yeah armour is understandable, but the statistics i got from the website said that it was 25 per bullet, me, my brother, and cousin was playing the game and all sort of noticed that guns take too long to kill people. Do people not understand that a 9mm round is just as effective as most rounds? Like how am i shooting someone 4-5 times in the back with a pistol to kill someone?

Let me say something I HATE RAINBOW SIX SIEGE, this game bullet sponge is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ bad it literally makes me want to put aside the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ unrealism of silent footsteps, and the random unrealistic powers they add to the game just to have a sense of IF I SHOOT SOMEONE THEY ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ DIE.

Fair enough. I might have to hop into some multiplayer to see what you mean, but I'm pretty happy with sticking with coop, tbh. Especially if that's an issue.

Goes back to armor though, if they've got a plate in, it might take more than 4 rounds to punch through it. They're going to be hurting a lot though.

i understand with armour 100% deffo 4 shots to kill, but i feel like non-armoured enemies also take 4 shots, either sometimes or all the time. im not sure
IvantheFormidable May 24, 2021 @ 5:20pm
To be honest, they probably do. I don't think this game is far enough along where the devs have calculated armor at all.

i feel like everything in this game has thick armor and bullet sponge body, and the weapons just fell weak.

Hey there thank you for your feedback, we'll take a look at our damage values and try to make it realistic while keeping the balance of the game.
